We try never to be biased here at Bookstr, but this week we have a gem of an up-and-coming Bookstagrammer — and she’s our gem! Bookstr social media intern Lindsey is doubling as your new favorite source for bookish relief on her Instagram @bookmarkedwithlinds. Lindsey has it all: chef’s-kiss book recommendations with genres across the board, hilarious reels and memes tuned for those suffering from a reading addiction, and a deep appreciation for the content that sparked her love of storytelling (did all book nerds also have a Glee obsession? Because guilty). If you’re looking for a romance aficionado, a sucker for a plot with musical undertones, and a refreshing honesty scarce on social media, make sure to follow Lindsey’s Bookstagram before she blows up.

When did you start your Bookstagram:
I started my Bookstagram in January of 2022.
Where are you from:
I’m from a small town in Northeast Ohio. I’m in between Cleveland, Ohio, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
What do you want your Instagram to bring to the world:

I prioritize authenticity over anything else. I try my best to show my true self rather than a perfected identity that isn’t true to who I am. I want my Instagram to show that you can be part of the reader community no matter how much or little you are able to read and that there is a place for everyone at the table. I value equality and am happy to read and recommend books written by and about any person. Really, I just hope people view my account as a place to chat about books with a friendly face.
Fun Fact about you:
I absolutely adore concerts & live comedy shows. I’ve been to around 50 concerts (with a packed calendar for the rest of 2025) & could hold a conversation using quotes from John Mulaney specials (if it’s not John Mulaney quotes, my brain is full of quotes from TV shows like Glee or New Girl).
Favorite Bookstagrammers:
@beckslovesbooks
@mattiemaemotl
@whatsdesreading
@mads.readz
@lynzlibrary
@tay.tayreads
Favorite Books and Authors:

My favorite authors are probably Taylor Jenkins Reid & Steven Rowley. In terms of romance, most of Abby Jimenez & Annabel Monaghan’s books are 5-star reads for me.
Fictional Crush:
My most recent fictional crush was William Langford from You Between the Lines by Katie Naymon. He is the definition of yearning. In terms of fictional television crushes, it’s Blaine Anderson from Glee until the day I die.

TBR List:
Summer in the City by Alex Aster
Colored Television by Danzy Senna
The Wedding People by Alison Espach
The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley
Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
What’s Your Special Approach to Content:
I only feel good about the content that I enjoyed making. If I make content out of feelings of obligation, I tend not to enjoy the process or outcome. The biggest thing is my willingness to try any new ideas that come to mind. I try not to put myself in a box, while still balancing the content being a true representation of who I am. I try to continue learning new tips & techniques without discrediting my current skill set.
Aesthetic / Instagram page theme:

I think of my account as cozy & colorful. I love reds & pinks & taking bookish content outdoors. I also hope my page feels inviting & friendly.
How often do you post:
I try to post on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays.
What does your Bookstagram mean to you:
I love so much about having this account, but I think having a place to talk about books with people who love them as much as I do is so special. I love finding book recommendations that I never would have seen otherwise. I also love that it gives me a creative outlet & a place to express myself.

Favorite Bookstore:
My favorite bookstore is Duck’s Cottage Coffee & Books in Duck, North Carolina. It’s the coziest coffee shop & bookstore in my favorite vacation spot, & their coffee is just as good as the books. In terms of local bookshops, I think Loganberry Books in Cleveland, Ohio is any book lover’s dream. It has so much heart & a great selection of new, used, & rare books. I could spend a week exploring The Book Loft in Columbus, Ohio too.
Who would you have supply you with a lifetime of books:
I would trust my best friend, Megan, to supply me with a lifetime of books. We don’t always read the exact same things, but we have plenty of overlap. I think she’d know what books I’d like, whether or not they’d be things she’d read herself.

Author to take a selfie with:
Chris Colfer. I love his Glee actor-to-author pipeline.
Favorite book cover:
I think The Guncle by Steven Rowley has the perfect book cover. I also love the cover of Jackie by Dawn Tripp.
Book you have claimed to have read that you didn’t:
I won’t lie if I’m asked directly, but I don’t volunteer to admit to the fact that I’ve never read Little Women, especially considering my love of the movie.
When did you know you had made it as a Bookstagrammer:

I’m not so sure that I’d say I’ve “made it” as a Bookstagrammer. I’m on the lower side of followers compared to a lot of other creators, but I feel like 2025 has been the year that I’ve found my footing in terms of making my content more cohesive & trying new forms of content. That being said, I felt pretty special the first time I received an ARC I didn’t have to personally request.
Advice for aspiring Bookstagrammers:
Start where you can. A Bookstagram should be for the love of reading, which is something that transcends any other status. Don’t compare yourself to bigger creators that have been around for some time, but take inspiration from them. Experiment with different aesthetics & vibes. Find the types of content that you enjoy making & stick to that. My biggest advice is to remember why you made the account in the first place & use that as your inspiration.
A huge thank you to Lindsey for taking the time to talk with us! Lindsey’s fun-loving approach to content and passion for what she does is a valuable lesson to all: don’t take life too seriously, enjoy yourself, and surround yourself with the things you love. Make sure you follow Lindsey on Instagram for all your recommendations and any time you need some hot bookish takes.
