A Guide to A Good Girl’s Guide

The TV series is based on A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, the first in a trilogy, plus a novella. Jackson has also written two other Young Adult thrillers — Five Survive and The Reappearance of Rachel Price — to critical and commercial acclaim. Jackson acted as executive producer on the show which will begin releasing on BBC on July 1 in the UK, with the Netflix release date to soon follow.

Fans rejoiced at their first time hearing Emma Myer’s Pip calling Zain Iqbal’s Ravi “Sarge,” their favorite nickname from the novels. The trailer also offered fans insight into the English setting and accents of the series. The novels had U.S. and UK versions, and now being adapted by BBC, have opted to bring the UK version to life. As blood-chilling and riveting as the books, the series promises to leave viewers with more questions than answers every episode. And with Pip and Ravi’s romance already swoon-worthy by the looks of it, lovers of the ship are sure to see their favorite moments IRL.
