With their vast discography Boris is highly prolific, reaching their twenty-ninth album in 2022, titled Fade. In the same year they released two more albums, one of which is called W, which encapsulates their unique blend of noise intensity and hypnotic rhythms.
Tim Hecker: Ambient Drone Innovator
Tim Hecker is a Canadian electronic musician who began his career in the early 2000s and quickly became a significant figure in the ambient drone genre. His music is defined by its dense, textured soundscapes that expertly blend noise, melody, and distorted tones to create an immersive listening experience. Hecker’s work boldly explores themes of technology, memory, and emotion, pushing the boundaries of ambient music with a focus on atmosphere and mood. His latest album, No Highs (2023), features tracks like Monotony and Lotus Light, continuing his exploration of abstract soundscapes and ambient minimalism.
