In honour of our favourite Son of Poseidon’s birthday, here are some tweets and appreciation posts from fans of the Percy Jackson franchise!

The official Percy Jackson Disney Plus series’ Twitter account posted a new picture of the core trio of the series: Percy, Annabeth and Grover. Based on the location, I’d have to wager a guess that the trio are at Camp Half-Blood….

POST VIA PERCY SERIES

Of course, the author himself, Rick Riordan, dropped his own post about his most-famous demigod. In addition to wishing the character happy birthday, he also included a personal blog post to the character, which can be read here!

POST VIA RICK RIORDAN

The actors of the upcoming Percy Jackson Disney Plus series have also wished the fictional character happy birthday. Walker Scobell, who plays Percy Jackson, wished the character happy birthday in his Instagram stories, while both Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri, who play Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood respectively, both made Instagram posts as birthday tributes to the character.

The fans are also celebrating the character’s birthday. Percy has to have one of the most iconic birthdays ever; the Great Prophecy finally comes true and he and Annabeth finally start dating after kisses on the cheek, two slow dances, a ruined date that was supposed to be at the movies, an actual kiss in Mount St. Helens, sacrificing their lives for the other…. Best birthday ever!

Here’s to hoping that this time next year, we’ll have footage of the upcoming Percy Jackson Disney Plus series to celebrate! Or maybe, just maybe, Rick Riordan might write a one-shot of Percy’s birthday celebration and Annabeth will get him something other than an SAT prep book….
