If you love classic 50s-style rock/R&B, this album is so much fun for the holidays. It’s all original songs, so you’re not just hearing another cover of a Christmas song you’ve listened to a thousand times before. Songs like “Bad Kid” and “Every Single Christmas” have that tongue-in-cheek, sneering, leather jacket-wearing bad-boy vibe vocals and hip-shaking rhythms. The best is “Holly, Carol, Candy & Joy”: addictive rhythm, clever (if slightly naughty) wordplay, and a classic doo-wop R&B structure that makes it a timeless favorite of mine.

While I love classic Christmas songs, what really pumps me up for the holidays is the album Christmas EveL by Stray Kids. It’s a hype K-pop collection with fun visuals in the music video, exciting rap, and catchy lyrics, which is why I love it so much — hype songs are my Achilles heel. The song “24 to 25” has a more classic Christmas feeling and beautiful vocals, and “Winter Falls” gives a chill vibe with relaxed rap and soothing vocals. If you need a break from the repetitive holiday songs on the radio, Christmas EveL has a great mix, even if it’s a short album.

There’s just something that I really love about Michael Bublé’s voice. He kind of reminds me of a modern-day Frank Sinatra at times, and I just love the classy performances he always seems to deliver! I love his Christmas album because he gives that magical Christmas vibe that makes the holiday season feel all cozy, happy, and glowy. The album has jazz, blues, pop, and swing! It’s the perfect rendition of everybody’s favorite Christmas songs, and I love that a lot of it feels jazzy, which is what I think Christmas is supposed to feel like. I’m a sucker for jazz!

I currently don’t have a full-on Christmas album I listen to, save for a couple of songs like “Sunshine” by Sia and “Underneath the Tree” by Kelly Clarkson. As a tween, though, Aly & AJ’s Christmas album was my go-to. I was obsessed with the lead single, “Greatest Time of Year,” and it really set in the holiday spirit when my mom would play it in the car.

What can I say? No one gets me pumped up for the holidays like Mariah Carey! Her Merry Christmas album is the perfect combination of festive cheer and soulful energy. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” will forever be my holiday anthem, but the whole album just sets the mood for the season. It’s a must-have soundtrack in my opinion.

I’ve been a Lindsey Stirling fan for a long time now, and her passion for Christmas music is through the roof! She actually has two Christmas albums out, this just happens to be the first. I have fond memories of wrapping gifts to this album and going to the Christmas concerts. If you’re a fan of the dancing violinist then you should definitely give her Christmas albums a try.
