Every single movie and TV trailers that could possibly be revealed at Comic Con 2022, from Marvel to DC to Amazon to AMC to HBO and more.
It has been two years since Comic Con has been held, thanks to the pandemic, but the previously annual convention is finally back! Comic Con is the annual convention that unites pop culture fans in the San Diego Convention Center for three days of panels, reveals, trailers, merchandise, exhibitions, cosplay, performances, games and more!
In other words, it is the biggest celebration of all for fans of films, comic books, gaming and animation! SDCC is the perfect place for sneak peeks, early reveals, news and trailers across the last decade. It often is the first place to debut posters and trailers for new and exciting projects.
Seeing as Comic Con hasn’t been held since 2019, this comeback year is promised to be extra special for fans. Fans of Marvel, DC, Warner Bros, Universal and many more studios have much to be excited about for the upcoming Thursday, 21 July through Sunday, 24 July!
Here are our predictions of all the trailers that will be released during Comic Con!
1. Marvel Studios
With Thor: Love and Thunder now out in cinemas and Ms Marvel having just finished airing on Disney Plus, the next film on Marvel’s feature slate is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It appears very likely that their first teaser trailer will air at Comic Con, with other potential teaser trailers being Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Additionally, with the latest reveal that Kamala Khan / Ms Marvel is a mutant and the reminder that she will be appearing in the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels, it is probable that we will receive some information about that upcoming movie as well. In terms of the Disney Plus shows, it is possible that some footage could be shown for She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, What If…? Season 2, X-Men ’97 and more.
2. Warner Bros
Warner Bros. has brought big reveals to Comic Con in the past and this year, it doesn’t appear to be any different. With both Dwayne Johnson and Zachary Levi attending the panel, it is highly likely that Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods will release new trailers or featurettes. Other possible trailers or shows could be released for The Flash, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Batgirl and Blue Beetle.
3. Prime Video
The entire cast of Prime Video’s Lord of the Rings series, The Rings of Power, which takes place thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s books The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, will be present. The huge panel indicates that another trailer will be released. It’s even possible that Prime Video could play the first 15 minutes of the first episode or even the entire first episode, as was done for the first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. way back in 2013.
Paramount will most likely release a trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which stars Chris Pine, Sophia Lilis, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith and Hugh Grant. The film has been complete since 2021 and was delayed for two years due to the pandemic, so it is highly likely that a trailer will be released.
Additionally, with Paramount having a Teen Wolf: The Movie panel and with both cast and creators in attendance, it is likely that a trailer and possibly a featurette, will debut as well.
It is highly likely that Disney will release a trailer of National Treasure: Edge of History, a series continuation of the National Treasure film series, which starred Nicolas Cage. With many of the cast in attendance and an hour-long presentation slated at Comic Con, it is likely that the first trailer will air. Additionally, Disney will also have a huge slate of TV presentations for everything from The Simpsons to Family Guy to Archer to What We Do In The Shadows and beyond, which could air early peeks and trailers.
House of the Dragon, the prequel series to Game of Thrones, is the next big show from HBO and author George R.R. Martin, will have a full panel at Comic Con. Seeing as the main cast will be present and the series is set to air on August 21, it is likely that a full trailer for the upcoming series will premiere at Comic Con.
AMC has had a decade-long standard appearance at Comic-Con with The Walking Dead and will now have its final appearance with said series this year, seeing as the series is airing its final episodes this fall. Additionally, there will likely be the release of the premiere trailer for the new anthology series, Tales of The Walking Dead. AMC will also host a panel for its series adaptation of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, which will likely show off a full trailer for the upcoming show.
