What is Romantic Comedy about?

Romantic Comedy is, as the title suggests, a novel of romance. The book follows Sally Milz, a comedy writer for The Night Owls, a sketch comedy show that bears a resemblance to Saturday Night Live. Sally has accepted that she is not the type of woman who lives out passionate love stories with hot celebrity men. Even though she interacts with some due to her job, she sees that it is the comedy-writing men who get to date the hot celebrities. In fact, she writes a sketch about this very topic. Instead, Sally’s dating life consists of casual hookups that prevent her from getting too attached. This all changes when dreamboat singer Noah Brewster enters the picture.

Noah is a big pop star whose dating habits show that he likes to date gorgeous celebrities. In other words, Sally believes that she would never be Noah’s type, so she does not even entertain the thought of being with him. However, when Noah is a guest on Sally’s show, the two begin to connect, from bonding over sketches to building a general rapport akin to friends. Still, Sally is set in her idea that a guy like Noah could never be interested in her. Nevertheless, as time goes on, a spark begin to fly. Could this comedic friendship turn into an unlikely romance? Sally and the readers will have to wait and see.

Her novel American Wife, whose main character is similar to former First Lady Laura Bush, also achieved a lot of success and has a possible film development in the works.
