Owlcrate
Owlcrate was begun out of a basement in 2014 with a mission to bring readers together. Even with 10 years under their belt, they’ve only just gotten started!
Each box comes with a completely redesigned exclusive edition (new cover, sprayed edges, embossed hardcover) and four to five goodies based on fandoms that fit the monthly theme. Their August theme, Falling for the Shadows, is open now and will include items inspired by The Hurricane Wars, One Dark Window, Lord of the Rings and Evocation.
You can purchase a Book and Goodies subscription from $35.99 to $203.94, based on the plan you select (monthly, three months, or six months). You can also buy a book-only subscription from $26.99 to $149.94, based on the plan. (Their six-month plan is currently on sale for $24.99!)
In addition to YA boxes, they also offer adult boxes and limited editions of sequels to books they’ve previously featured, as well as for highly anticipated releases. And they recently announced plans to add FOUR more box options for subscribers to select from, starting in 2025, including Romance, Sci-Fi, Romantasy, and Horror!
The Book Shoppe
The Book Shoppe prioritizes self-care for its subscribers, sending out items that aim to improve readers well-being, like lip balm, essential oils, candles, and sweets!
For our overseas readers, we present The Book Shoppe! A New Zealand-based subscription box that ensures each item is a surprise! Each item is wrapped individually and designed to be unwrapped when the reader hits a certain page of the month’s book pick! (But they can be opened all at once if the reader so chooses.)

Fairyloot
Fairyloot is another popular subscription box known for gorgeously redesigned covers! They got their start in 2016, when two enamored entrepreneurs set out to bring fantasy novels to readers around the world!
YA Book and item boxes can be purchased for $35.90, and book-only can be purchased for $25.90.
Fairyloot also offers Adult and Romantasy book-only boxes and box combos (YA + Adult, Adult + Romantasy, and YA + Adult + Romantasy) from $49.90 to $85.90, depending on the box.

The Locked Library is a UK based YA subscription box created by HarperVoyager and Magpie Books!
Their boxes come with breathtaking exclusive editions, featuring alternate covers, head and tail bands, foiled board, and sprayed edges, an author letter and extra content, and access to online events with the month’s featured author and the Locked Library team!

Once Upon a Book Club Box
