Why did you start your Bookstagram?
I started my Bookstagram in early 2023 when I was up all night with my second baby. I was deep in the newborn phase, exhausted and dealing with some mild postpartum depression. Reading became my escape, and starting a Bookstagram gave me a creative outlet that felt like mine during a time when everything else revolved around baby stuff.
Where are you from?
This is a tough question — I’m from all over! I grew up moving every few years and never actually lived in the city where I was born. I spent a big chunk of my childhood in Italy, started my own family in North Georgia, and we are about to move to Boston this summer!
What do you want your Instagram to bring to the world?
Joy & Comfort! I also want my photos and posts to elicit a sense of happiness and calm. I regularly post Tasty Tuesday posts, which I feel are the perfect blend between cozy vibes and yummy treats.
Fun Fact about you:
I’m a geologist! I have a master’s in geoscience with a specialty in geochemistry.

Rebecca Ross hands down! Her Elements of Cadence duology is perfection. I’ve started collecting her books in Italian as well.

TBR List:
I would like to finish Isabel Ibanez’s back list this year and Rebecca Ross’s newest novel. But other than that, I’m such a mood reader. I read whatever interests me!
What’s your special approach to content?
I don’t know if I have a special approach. To be honest, my content creation has been rather sporadic. I’ve learned not to push it. To only create when I feel that creative spark. Creating simply for the sake of posting isn’t my vibe.
Aesthetic / Instagram page theme:
I have a very light and airy theme. I tend to gravitate towards pinks and pastels.
How often do you post?
Anywhere from two to five times a week! Some weeks I have more to share than others. But I’m always active in stories!
What does your Bookstagram mean to you?
My Bookstagram is truly my baby, my safe, comforting corner of the internet. It’s a digital diary of my reading journey, a space I’ve poured two years of heart, dedication, and hard work into. Every post tells a story, not just of the books I’ve read, but of how much this community and creative outlet mean to me.
Favorite Bookstore:
I always prefer local bookstores! I have one that I’ve been frequenting recently — Sincerely Yours in Smyrna, GA. They stock their shop with some of my bookish accessories. But I always end up purchasing something every time I drop off a new order. Another good one is IAmBooks in Boston! It’s an Italian American bookstore.
Who would you have supply you with a lifetime of books?
Hmmm, Sarah J. Maas.

When did you know you had made it as a Bookstagrammer?
I’m not sure there was one defining moment. I think you can “make it” as a Bookstagrammer at any stage, in your own way. But if I had to choose, I’d say the first time I posted a review and the author actually responded… that was my first real “oh my gosh” moment. It made everything feel more connected and real, like my voice in this space truly mattered.
Advice for aspiring Bookstagrammers:
Don’t give up! It can be discouraging when your posts don’t get much engagement at first. It might feel like you’re shouting into the void. But your voice matters. Keep showing up, keep sharing what you love, and trust that your people will find you. There’s space for you here, and you are always welcome.
Tell us a bit about your Etsy shop, Faye and Flora!
I started my Etsy shop in the fall of 2024, and honestly, it just felt like a natural next step. I’ve always loved being crafty and artistic, and when I started sharing some of my work on Instagram, the encouragement I got was amazing. I launched the shop with custom mini bookish paintings, and over the holidays, I decided to expand into stickers and stationery, my other creative obsession. It’s been growing ever since, and now I even sell my products in local shops and bookstores, which still feels surreal!
