As the holiday season begins, so have the festivities. And there are so many things people do to get festive. The possibilities are endless. Whether decorating the tree, watching holiday movies, baking delicious treats, or jamming to some holiday music, it will surely get you into the holiday spirit. However, one of the most memorable is probably gingerbread houses. It doesn’t matter if you’re building them or just looking at some really creative ones.
There are definitely some creative ones that will amaze and mesmerize, especially these few gingerbread houses based on popular books.
1. Hogwarts
Harry Potter is a very popular series, so Hogwarts has been the inspiration for many gingerbread houses. Therefore, there are hundreds of variations that look like a replica of Hogwarts. And trust me, you’ll feel the same awe you felt when you first saw Hogwarts in the film when looking at the Hogwarts gingerbread masterpieces. 2. The Shire
The Lord of the Rings is another popular series as well. It’s no surprise that some locations would get gingerbread replicas. And this one of The Shire by RaspberryTart on Flickr is stunning! I cannot believe this is made of gingerbread, icing, and other sweet treats. It is impossible to deny the creativity and talent that went into this gingerbread house, especially the attention to detail. It just looks so cozy!
3. Sleeping Beauty
Now, this whole gingerbread house build is magnificent. I absolutely adore it because of the way it’s built. It’s like a whole story is unfolding right before my eyes. The premise of the fairytale, Sleeping Beauty is being retold through a gingerbread replica. There’s Aurora sleeping inside the house with Maleficent as a dragon outside. 4. The Iron Throne
Obviously, it’s a more festive and bright take on the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones. This gingerbread creation is so intricate because of the many individual tiny swords made. Not to also mention how precisely each one is placed to identically match the throne portrayed in the show. It’s a truly amazing build.
5. The Tardis
Doctor Who has books published based on the TV series. Therefore, I’ll include it on the list. Rosanna Pansino is a famous content creator and baking sensation. So, she definitely did not disappoint with her gingerbread rendition of the Tardis from Doctor Who. As expected, it’s stunning. Plus the little wreath makes it adorable as well as festive.
Of course, all these gingerbread houses look way too phenomenal not to be real. It’s a bit unbelievable how they’re made out of gingerbread cookies and some frosting. Anyway, we hope these bookish gingerbread houses spark some inspiration for your own building skills!
