Azriel and Rhys from A Court of Thorns and Roses
Next up, we present to you two beloved boys from A Court of Thorns and Roses, Azriel and Rhysand. Now we already know that these men can make toes curl and pulses flutter, but their skills go way beyond physical flattery. While they are both extremely burly, strong men who were born and raised in a war camp, there are some unexpected manners and grace underneath that most people probably don’t expect. If either of these men should be so lucky as to come home with you this holiday season, not only will they impress your family right off the bat with their intimidating rugged muscles that indicate they have great dedication for the work they pursue, but they will certainly be the ones to volunteer to help set the table, offer assistance in the kitchen, and pull out your mom’s chair and show endless devotion to her, all while being openly, yet appropriately, affectionate to you in front of your family.
Azriel
Let’s start with Azriel. He is definitely a momma’s boy — he’s the kind of guy to wait until your mom and everyone else sits to dig into the delicious meal—unlike Cassian … if you know, you know — and, better yet, wait to see if the food has to be blessed before anybody eats. With his high respect for women, your family will be overjoyed to see you with a man who wants to help out in any way and show every loyalty to you, which moms and grandmas love to see. He’s also the super empathetic type, which is perfect for when that aunt who just got divorced decides that she absolutely must share her shock and disgust at how she only got to keep the blender and not the air fryer.
Rhysand
Next, we have our sweet, sexy Rhysand. Rhys is the protective type who will always make sure you’re warm enough, full enough, drunk enough, and not worried about going back for a third plate of stuffing, despite what others may think. He’ll reassure you that it’s Christmas, and no, Aunt Karen isn’t staring you down for a plate full of various pies you’re about to devour. He may tease you about it later, but he’ll join in on the food festivities of overeating. If you know Rhys, then you know he’s all about the holidays from A Court of Frost and Starlight.
Rhys loves any cause for celebration, and will be happy to join in on any caroling, snowball fights, mistletoe, or decorating! He’ll also be the one to provide fun, lighthearted conversation at the dinner table and will also be happy to break up any awkward moments of silence or arguments after someone decides to blurt out their moment of epiphany at dinner. Finny’s the kind of guy who helps out anyone who comes into his path, whether it be donating money to charities or paying for groceries they can’t afford. So he’d definitely be the man to help decorate the house, stir the gravy while your mom works on the stuffing, light the candles for the dinner table, or make different drinks for the family. Plus, his considerate, heartfelt mom will make sure he shows up with something to add to the table, whether it be a bottle of wine or a casserole. But make sure if you take Finny home with you this Christmas, it’s not raining, he’s not driving, and you have a seatbelt on!
