The Amazing Taylor Tomlinson

Taylor Tomlinson has been making waves on the comedy scene with her hit Netflix specials and as the youngest and only female late-night host on network TV. Her three-hour-long specials for Netflix, Quarter-Life Crisis (2020), Look At You (2022), and Have It All (2024), have all been top-rated on the platform, making her yet again the youngest female comic to achieve such a feat. Taylor now hosts CBS’s off-kilter late-night show, After Midnight.
Fresh off the first leg of her Save Me stand-up tour, Tomlinson continues to break barriers, having headlined one of the top-grossing comedy tours of 2023 and being the only woman in the top 10. Rolling Stone hailed her as a comedy conqueror, and she’s racked up accolades from Variety, TIME, and The Hollywood Reporter. Taylor has also been inducted into the Forbes 30 Under 30. Clearly, Tomlinson is writing her own success story, one laugh at a time.
Now Simon & Schuster reports that Taylor is crossing off another previously long-standing item from her dream board — write and publish a book! Perhaps, with the exception of her opinion about “morning people,” Taylor says she hopes it will remind readers that it’s okay to change their opinions.
What’s the book about?
Tomlinson’s debut book, Actually, Nevermind, is a collection of humorous autobiographical essays that explores the “dizzying contradictions” of finding your way in the world and the changing nature of opinions and beliefs as you enter adulthood, covering both serious and ridiculous topics in her comedic style. It’s being published by Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, and will also feature an audiobook version narrated by Tomlinson herself. Fans of her sharp, relatable comedy will find much to enjoy in this new literary venture.
We can’t wait!
Actually, Nevermind is a fresh, witty addition that promises to keep readers hooked. With her unique voice and comedic flair, Tomlinson’s essays are set to be a delightful laugh-out-loud escape with a touch of introspection.
