Let’s get into the interview!
Why did you start your Bookstagram?
I had fallen back in love with reading in 2023 and was slowly becoming more and more obsessed with providing recommendations to my friends. An opportunity for my first ARC review fell into my lap near the beginning of 2024, so I decided it would be fun to continue reading and reviewing publicly! The rest is history.

Where are you from?
I live in Chicago, Illinois, and I’m obsessed with it! Been here for over ten years, and my dog and I love the city life.

What do you want your Instagram to bring to the world?
Honestly, it’s cheesy, but I just want someone to see my posts and smile. I like making reels I think are funny that will make my friends laugh, and I like my review posts to show how obsessive I can get about my favorite books!
Favorite Books and Authors?
This is always the HARDEST question to answer! My top reads of 2024 were Out on a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young, When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker and Mercy by Sara Cate.

Fictional Crush?
This list is juuuuust shy of a mile long! My forever husband is definitely Casteel Da’Neer from From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout, but top runner ups are Kaan from When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker, Elliot Petropoulos from Love & Other Words by Christina Lauren, Wyatt Patterson from Homebound by Meredith Trapp, and Bo from Out on a Limb y by Hannah Bonam-Young. In general it’s the loyal, golden retriever MMC with whom I fall madly in love…and my list is ever growing!!

Aesthetic / Instagram page theme?
My theme is bright and bubbly! I love bright colors, a little bit of chaos, but an overarching theme of positivity. I’m very obsessed with giving recommendations and having my friends take them!

Favorite Bookstore?
My absolute favorite store is The Last Chapter Bookshop here in Chicago! They have an amazing selection, super fun special editions, and they organize events with authors that are squeal-worthy.
Who would you have supply you with a lifetime of books?
Definitely the producers of the special editions of books: Fairyloot, Probably Smut, Bookish Box… I love their fanciest of books!!

When did you know you had made it as a Bookstagrammer?
I’d love someone to tell me too! Ha! But I like to think it finally ‘clicked’ for me once I made a group of gal pals who I now literally talk to everyday. They are my rock!

Advice for aspiring Bookstagrammers?
My biggest piece of advice is to stay authentic to YOU. That means post what you want, read what you want, and interact with who you want! Nothing ruins the experience more, or is as obvious, as inauthenticity! Don’t compare yourself to others, but instead do what interests you. And obviously…HAVE FUN! If you’re not having fun, you’re not doing it right
