At San Diego Comic Con, a new She-Hulk: Attorney at Law trailer was released. Tatiana Maslany takes the legal world by storm as Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk!
In the new trailer, footage was also shown of Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Hulk, Benedict Wong as Wong, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky / Abomination and most excitingly, Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil.
Part-superhero series, part legal show and part comedy, the series focuses on Jennifer Walters (Maslany), a brilliant lawyer and the cousin of longtime MCU hero Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo). When Jennifer suffers a major injury, Bruce is forced to give her a blood transfusion, causing her to inherit his powers to turn into a “hulk” version of herself.
Unlike Bruce, when she transforms, Jennifer largely retains her personality and intelligence and she comes to appreciate her abilities in a new large green form. As the She-Hulk form gives Jennifer new confidence in her personal life, it causes new complications for her professional life, as she gets recruited to work for a law firm specializing in cases involving super-humans.
In addition to the new trailer, two new posters have also been released.
In She-Hulk, Jameela Jamil plays She-Hulk’s rival, the super-strong Titania, while Ginger Gonzaga plays Jennifer’s best friend Nikki. Josh Segarra, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry have also been cast. The trailer also teases an appearance by Charlie Cox as Daredevil, the other famous lawyer superhero in the Marvel canon.
In addition to his upcoming appearance in She-Hulk, Charlie Cox has been confirmed to get his own series, Daredevil: Born Again, set to premiere in Spring 2024, consisting of 18 episodes. Cox first appeared in the Netflix Marvel show, Daredevil, and has since appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
She-Hulk promises to provide a lot of laughs as well as cameo appearances form other MCU characters. Seeing as the big cameo appearances have already been confirmed – Wong (Benedict Wong) and Matt Murdock / Daredevil (Charlie Cox) – this begs the question: whose cameos have not been announced?
After Kingpin’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) surprise appearance in Hawkeye and multiple cameo characters appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the bigger question is ‘what is Marvel holding back from the fans?’
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will premiere on August 17, 2022 and will consist of nine episodes. While you wait, check out our other articles about She-Hulk and the MCU here and wait for our favourite MCU lawyers to grace the screen soon!
