If you loved Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, a fiction concept based on the novels by the astonishing thriller author Agatha Christie, you are going to love Netflix’s new compelling crime series Kaleidoscope.

The attempt at the biggest payday in history happens on January 1, as a crew of masterful thieves ventures to make it through the world’s most powerful security team and the FBI to unlock an unbreakable vault for 70 billion dollars.

The series is loosely based on the real-life story of the events where 70 billion dollars in bonds went missing during Hurricane Sandy. The timeline will cover over 25 years, spanning from 24 years before the heist and 6 months afterward.

The Episodes

The eight-episode series is quite unconventional, as each viewer will have a unique viewing experience, entering the heist at different moments in time. The episodes are titled a different color, which means some viewers may begin the experience with green while others begin with violet. Each viewer will eventually see each episode, but where they begin, and the order in which they watch the episodes will affect their perspective of the characters, viewpoint on the story, and the questions and answers that may solve the heist.

Episode titles include:

  • “Yellow: 6 Weeks Before The Heist”
  • “Green: 7 Years Before the Heist”
  • “Blue: 5 Days Before the Heist”
  • “Violet: 24 Years Before the Heist”
  • “Orange: 3 Weeks Before the Heist”
  • “Red: The Morning After the Heist”
  • “Pink: 6 Months After”
  • “White: The Heist” the epic story finale.
