Why did you start your Bookstagram?
I started my Bookstagram to connect with other readers in the hopes of having a community of people to talk about books with and share my love of reading.
Where are you from?
South Texas
Fun Fact about you:
I’m a labor and delivery nurse! I’ve been a Labor and Delivery nurse for seven years, and I’m currently working on my master’s degree.

Favorite Bookstagrammers:
- @shelfcarestories — Sarah lives in Austria, but we have made such an amazing connection and would love to meet up IRL. She and I have a constant stream of voice messages going, talking about our reads or just life things. It’s honestly amazing.
- @savannaslibrary — Savanna is so sweet and supportive. She puts out amazing content, and her page is so aesthetic! She’s also a writer.
- @ashleysbookera — Ashley is also a nurse, and we connected on Threads. We found out that she applied to the same online Master’s program as me! So we’ll be at the same university when she starts in the Fall. We have extremely similar book tastes, and she’s also so supportive and puts out great content.
- @brookecannotread — Brooke is also a fellow nurse, but she’s in Canada! Her content is so creative and unique.
- @literary_lys — Alyssa has such cute and cozy content! I love seeing pictures of her hilarious cats. We also have very similar tastes in books.
- @on.olivias.bookshelf — Olivia and I go way back! We message each other about life and books. She will sometimes randomly reach out to see how I’m doing. She’s so sweet!

What’s Your Special Approach to Content?
I post what I feel and keep it genuine and authentic. I strive for quality over quantity (mainly because I’m extremely busy, but also because I don’t want to post just for the sake of it).

What’s a book on your TBR you’ve been putting off reading, and why?
The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah — I have to be in the mood for a historical romance, but I’m also not ready for the emotional devastation.
Name a popular author/book/book series that you haven’t read yet but want to?
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas; feeling so much fomo! Hoping to read this fall. Other series that are highly anticipated for me are The Kindred’s Curse Saga by Penn Cole, Artifacts of Ouranos by Nisha J. Tuli, and The War of Lost Hearts by Carissa Broadbent.
Aesthetic / Instagram page theme:
I don’t think I have a theme, but I would say cozy, warm, and colorful. I love posting content with sunlight, and I love to keep it colorful!

Who would you have supply you with a lifetime of books?
Chloe Walsh — you can break my heart indefinitely.
What does your Bookstagram mean to you?
It means so much! It’s my creative outlet. It’s where I go to escape and share my love of reading. It’s where I communicate with book lovers from all over the world. It’s my little haven away from the chaos.

Author you wish to take a selfie with:
Abby Jimenez
Favorite book cover:
I’m so drawn to the cover of Maine Characters. I love the colors! It’s like a watercolor painting.
What are your favorite creative avenues to explore when putting together a post for your page, and why?
I love taking my photos in the morning or at sunset (love golden hour). I edit them with my personal filters on Lightroom, and if I’m making a collage or adding text to my photos, I use Canva, as well.

What do you like most about Bookstagram?
The community of readers that I now have. I never imagined when I started my account that I’d have so many amazing people to converse with about books and life. The support for indie authors, the support between Bookstagram creators, the love that I give and receive from all my hype girls — there’s so much positivity.
What’s a memorable or favorite interaction you’ve had with an author or follower?
Every time an author comments on my post about their book, I get so excited! One of my favorites was Liz Tomforde.
Advice for aspiring Bookstagrammers:
I would say to stay genuine and stay true to yourself!
