The world is getting an inside look into what Jordan Chiles went through in her Olympic journey. She’s releasing her I’m That Girl memoir in the Spring of 2025, with a special foreword from her teammate, Simone Biles. She opens up about the psychologically and physically demanding sport while only being 23 years old.

A Paris Olympian

In this immersive memoir, Chiles discusses her experience leading up to and competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics. She was forced to give up her bronze medal after her coach appealed her score too late by four seconds. Since practicing for the Olympics is a hard enough feat in itself, getting knocked down like that was challenging.

With perseverance from her coach, Jordan finally received her bronze medal. In relation to perseverance, Jordan Chiles dives into the racism she’s encountered as a Black woman in a predominantly white sport. She’s struggled with that, body and eating issues, and has come close to giving it all up. Despite the obstacles in her path, Jordan has accomplished so much, including being a part of the first all-Black podium in all of men’s and women’s gymnastics.

It’s all in here — the highs, the lows, the untold stories, and the moments that shaped me into who I am today. 🖤 This is for anyone chasing their dreams, owning their confidence, and embracing their true self unapologetically.
