HBO’s highly anticipated series, House of the Dragon, is just around the corner. With less than a week to go until the Game of Thrones prequel series’ premiere, dedicated fans are putting the finishing touches on their premiere watch parties. Luckily, Vintage Wine Estates‘ Seven Kingdoms Cellars has released a new line of House of the Dragon-inspired wines just in time for the debut.
Game of Thrones is no stranger to alcohol product partnerships, with lines of whiskeys, bourbons, and wines available during the original series airing. HBO is keeping the trend going with three House of the Dragon wines that you can purchase today. Now, you can put a Targaryen flair on your premiere watch party.
House of the Dragon Lodi Red Wine
This red wine from the Lodi appellation of California features flavors of rich maple, toffee, creamy caramel, and dark red fruit. It has aromas of cocoa and cranberry that are sure to transport you to the grand dining halls within the Red Keep of King’s Landing.
House of the Dragon Oregon Pinot Noir
Described as “magic in a glass,” House of the Dragon’s Oregon pinot noir has savory flavors with tart red cherry and cranberry aromas. Its subtle earthy and savory flavors are perfectly balanced with its smooth texture. You can enjoy sipping it while watching power struggles within House Targaryen unfold before your eyes on screen.
House of the Dragon California Cabernet Sauvignon
This rich and bold California cabernet sauvignon is fit for a king of the Seven Kingdoms. Complete with scents of tobacco and vanilla, this wine is aged for three months in bourbon barrels to give it an intense character reminiscent of King Viserys I Targaryen.
Three Corks to Collect
Each bottle of House of the Dragon wines includes one of three possible cork designs. One features the iconic dragon egg, and the other two make up the image of a fearsome Targaryen dragon. There’s no guarantee which design you’ll get, but trying each wine will put you on the path to collecting them all!
You can purchase any of these delicious wines from the official House of the Dragon wine site. Or, you can use their store location option to see if any of the wines are available at a liquor store near you today.
