Cavill continued in his Instagram video,
“The image you see on this post, and what you saw in Black Adam, are just a very small taste of things to come. There’s a lot to be thankful for, and I’ll get to that in time, but I wanted to thank you guys most of all for your support and your patience. I promise it will be rewarded.”

What can we expect?
Cavill is working on a few adaptations for Netflix including The Witcher, which is currently shooting Season 2, and Enola Holmes, which is releasing the sequel film on November 4, 2022 only on Netflix. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Cavill grab his cape out the closet and reprise his superhero role.
He took on the role of Superman in 2013’s Man of Steel and appeared in two follow-up movies by Zack Snyder in 2016 and 2017. Since Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Cavill’s superhero future has been uncertain, but we finally have something to wait for.
Entertainment Weekly reported,
“After a cameo in 2018’s Shazam! failed to materialize, Cavill wasn’t set for any more Superman films. But the actor never gave up hope — even as he took on the lead role in Netflix’s The Witcher, Cavill kept telling interviewers that “the cape is still in the closet.”
