I’m sure we’ve all heard the saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover,” but let’s face it: we all tend to judge books by their cover when presented with a delightful sight. We can’t help it; first, it’s seeing a new release, becoming drawn in by the astonishing visuals of the cover, and then lifting it up and facing a beautiful sight of colored sprayed edge designs on the pages. With all of these elements, it’s almost too difficult to put back down. There’s certainly been many instances for me where I came across a stunning book copy, and immediately brought it home with me without even reading the synopsis!

Five Broken Blades by Mai Corland
As the title hints, five deadly assassins are brought together to assassinate a tyrannical king, a seemingly invincible ruler. When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker
I will admit I brought this one home with me without knowing what the story entailed. However, I am pleased to share that it was not a disappointment! This stunning cover is a high fantasy romance novel featuring a world where ancient magic and mythical creatures, such as dragons, are brought to life. The story follows an assassin and dragon rider as they are brought together by an intertwined destiny that will portray dangerous truths about their past and a burning enemies-to-lovers romance. You can expect to see an exciting tale of elemental magic, rebellion, and political intrigue as these characters face their future.
