When did you start your Instagram?
June 2024.
Where are you from?
Cleveland area, Ohio, United States.
What do you want your Instagram to bring to the world?
I want to show others that old books are just as great as new ones. There’s a lot of nervousness around approaching classics and older stories after high school but I want to show people that they can be really fun to read! I also want to normalize regularly using your local library and buying books secondhand. There’s no entry fee into the world of reading!
Fun fact about you:
I recently acquired my Masters in Business Administration! I’m also working on creating an online bookish merch store and cannot wait to release it!

What’s your special approach to content?
I want my content to feel like a conversation. I think what I love most about Bookstagram is the intention toward community building and I want my content to be a reflection of that.
Aesthetic / Instagram page theme:
Changes with the wind. I have a hard time sticking to a theme. More than anything I want to feel real and cozy when people come to my account.

Daily!
What does your Bookstagram mean to you?
It’s my community. I have made the greatest friends all around the world and I am so grateful for their kindness.

None! I try to be very honest when it comes to talking about books online. People deserve that!
When did you know you had made it as a Bookstagrammer?
I don’t think I’ve made it, really. I think I’m constantly growing and learning new things about myself. I don’t know if “arriving” is necessarily a goal of mine either.
Advice for aspiring Bookstagrammers:
Just start one! There is so much to be gained in a new creative outlet and a community of readers that you can chat with. Also, try not to get caught up in the comparison game. Other people’s profiles will always look different and people will grow at different rates. It really isn’t a competition. Our differences are what make the Bookstagram community special and diverse. When any of us succeed, we all do. You have content and opinions of value. The world needs your voice!
