At first glance, they seem quite harmless, this quickly and drastically changes as the giant robots soon turn out to be quite sinister.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
Created in 2015, this film combines the classic Jane Austin Novel with a zombie apocalypse, a fusion of horror and historical drama. This unique twist takes the beloved characters we are familiar with and puts them in a dark situation you never would have imagined. The rendition is frightening and fun, innovative, capturing the audience’s attention. The Curse of Humpty Dumpty

Gretel & Hansel
This film is not as shocking as the others on this list; however, it still has that chilling feeling and follows a classic children’s tale. If you enjoy psychological horror, then this film is the one for you!
The Banana Splits Movie
Filmed in 2019, this film is a continuation of the television series The Banana Splits, a popular children’s show that follows a fictional rock band. The movie is a comedy-horror that turns these cheerful characters into rather homicidal animatronics. This makes for a fun watch of quirky, slasher-horror comedy. This unique premise was one of the first to make such a bold choice, putting deeply beloved characters into an extremely dark and thrilling situation. If you enjoy the other films on this list that contain such drastic genre-bending and can appreciate a playful approach to horror, I would definitely give this film a watch!
