The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes film adaptation has found their Tigris! Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer has been casted as Coriolanus Snow’s kind and loving cousin, who also appears in Mockingjay as a retired designer for the Hunger Games. In Mockingjay, Tigris has a small role, portrayed by Eugenie Bondurant, assisting Katniss and her team in hiding from President Snow and the Peacekeepers, but in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Tigris’ role is much larger and reveals much of her backstory with our anti-hero protagonist.
Hunter Schafer Joins The Cast As Tigris Snow
Hunter Schafer joins Tom Blyth as Coriolanus Snow and Rachel Zegler as Lucy Gray Baird in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes the movie. Coriolanus Snow is power-hungry, willing to kill to get ahead in life and ruthless enough to attempt to kill the girl he loves and a boy who is supposedly his best friend. Unlike her cousin, Tigris is kind and sweet, doing whatever she can to help Coriolanus hid their poverty. It is even suggested that she may have prostituted herself to get money for the family, showing how willing she is to support the ones she loves.
Suzanne Collins, the author of The Hunger Games trilogy, released The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes back in 2020, thus revealing how Coriolanus Snow rose to power. Lionsgate, which released the four Hunger Games films, quickly got the rights to the film version of The Ballad of Songbirds of Snakes. In addition to the casting of Coriolanus Snow, Lucy Gray Baird, and Tigris Snow, two batches of tributes and mentors have already been cast. The movie will be released November 17, 2023.
