Nobody Wants This is a true rom-com written by Erin Foster, with the story based on her sweet love story with her now husband. Adam Brody and Kristen Bell both played their parts well. We listened to Adam’s character profess his feelings for Joanne in a way that makes us want to be loved. With many obstacles in their path, will we see them put each other first and stay together next season?

The First Season
The first season of the show came out in September of 2024 on Netflix. Now, whenever I see a new rom-com movie or TV show pop up on my screen, I put it on my to-be-watched list. I’m a sucker for the grand gestures, the sweet words, and the inevitable happy endings after overcoming different obstacles. This show did not disappoint and clearly, I’m not the only one who feels this way.
Noah is a Jewish rabbi who’s freshly single and meets Joanne — a non-religious sex podcaster — at a party. Though their lives are vastly different and they have their family dramas, they can’t help but feel a pull to each other. Noah’s brother — Sasha — and Joanne’s sister — Morgan — add a lot of comedic moments to each scene. The plot is funny, romantic, and has everyone rooting for Noah and Joanne.
The Next Season
After the ending scene of the first season where Noah and Joanne share a passionate kiss in the parking lot after a bat mitzvah, we are dying to know what will happen next. We know that Joanne isn’t Jewish and isn’t ready to commit to converting just yet. Noah’s job is in jeopardy if he continues with Joanne without her converting.
We hope that the kiss shared between them means nothing will stand in their way of being together, but is that enough? Are the sacrifices worth it for both of them? Also, what happens with Sasha’s marriage? Will he and Morgan be front runners as well as Noah and Joanne in season two? We’re on the edge of our seats over here!!
Get Ready
There is no set release date yet for the next season, but that just means you have plenty of time to get prepared and binge the first season! There are ten episodes — not enough in our opinion — ranging between 20-30 minutes. So, if you have a Netflix account, you can easily knock this out in one day. If you don’t have an account, it’s simple — get one. You’re not going to want to miss out on this.
As a Gilmore Girls fanatic, I personally can’t wait to see Adam Brody light up my screen again. Make sure you keep an eye out for the release date so you can clear your calendar!
