Last week’s Rings of Power ended on a grim note that’s had viewers counting down the days until the new episode this week. Though we still have a few hours until episode seven of The Rings of Power drops, Prime Video has gifted us with a new preview of the much-anticipated episode and some official stills. The preview and stills tease the bleak aftermath of episode six and the inevitable rise of Mordor.
The Rings of Power delivered an action-packed episode last week. In it, Adar and his army of Orcs launched an assault on the Southlanders that nearly resulted in the hilt of Sauron being turned over to Adar. But, in the nick of time, Galadriel, Halbrand, and the Númenoreans arrived to cut down the remaining Orc forces, capturing Adar and saving the day… or so they thought.

It seems before he was captured, Adar passed off Sauron’s hilt to Waldreg, who snuck off while everyone was celebrating and triggered the eruption of Mount Doom and ultimately, the rise of Mordor. The final shot of the episode saw everyone running for their lives while Galadriel watched in horror as the fire and smoke enveloped them all.
The teaser for episode seven brings nothing but bad tidings all around, especially with Galadriel and the Númenoreans. Check it out below:
Additionally, Prime Video has released some new images ahead of tonight’s new episode. They, at least, offer a bit of hope that we’ll get some answers to questions we’ve been asking for a while now.

While we knew Galadriel would survive the catastrophic destruction from episode six, this image confirms that Bronwyn also made it out alive.
Along with Bronwyn, we also know from the featured image that Theo will come out unscathed (or at least as unscathed as you can when you just witnessed your village get wiped out by a volcano).
And of course, there was no doubt about Elendil and Isildur surviving, because as we all know, their stories are far from over.

We’re headed back to Kazad-dûm! After spending an episode away from Elrond and Prince Durin in the mines, it looks like we’re finally getting back to their troubles with mining mithril.
But based on the brief clips we see in the episode teaser, all is not well with them, and we might be finally arriving to the episode where they wake up the Balrog.
Consider us excited!

Lastly, it looks like we’ll finally get some answers on who exactly these mysterious characters are.
Could the middle one be Sauron? My money is still on Halbrand, but based on their appearances, they definitely aren’t friendly. And is it just me, or does the head of that staff kinda look like Barad-dûr and the Eye of Sauron?
We’ll have to wait and see what this new episode brings us! Don’t forget to stream The Rings of Power on Fridays on Amazon Prime Video.
