TMZ reported the star died in his home Saturday morning in Lancaster, California. No cause of death has been released at this time. This news hits hard as someone who grew up watching Aaron Carter listening to his music. I even saw him perform live when I was younger. Did anyone else have numerous notebooks with his face on them or those awesome posters from the Tiger Beat magazines?

I’d like to take us all down memory lane as we remember him. From appearing in the “Lizzie McGuire” Christmas episode to releasing “Aaron’s Party,” the actor and singer touched many of our hearts. We were able to watch him grow up as we all grew up too.

Let’s look back on the time we all got to see him on Lizzie McGuire.

And we can’t forget his performance during that episode.

The pop star rose to fame in the late 1990s and went on to release five studio albums. The first of which came out when he was only 9 years old. Being in the spotlight for all of his life, the star appeared in numerous TV shows and continued making music. “Aaron’s Party” sold over three million copies.

He frequently toured with his brother Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys and appeared on Nickelodeon as a regular. Eventually, the singer transitioned into rap music as his career moved forward.

Aaron Carter is survived by his son, Prince. We will remember him always.
