Why did you start your Bookstagram?

When I got back into reading, I wanted to join a space that was passionate about books as much as me. After contemplating for months on starting an account, one day I thought, just give it a go. The best decision I made!

A colorful pile of fiction book covers. The top layer of book covers from top left to bottom right are The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt, Happy Place by Emily Henry, Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano, The Lamb by Lucy Rose, We All Want Impossible Things by Catherine Newman, and The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.

Where are you from?

I’m from Nottingham in the UK.

Favorite Books and Authors:

Some of my favourite books are:

The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
Boys Of Tommen Series by Chloe Walsh
The Beartown Trilogy by Fredrik Backman
A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
The Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas

I still think about these books all the time. My favourite authors are Fredrik Backman, Kristin Hannah, Taylor Jenkins Reid, and Abby Jimenez. I’ll read anything they write!

TBR List:

I have around 100 books on my TBR which is ridiculous; I’m trying to cut it down. Demon Copperhead, 11/22/63, and The Goldfinch I’m determined to read this year but I’m so intimidated by them!

Bookstagrammer Lorna's night stand with a lit candle, pink and white tulips, and a stack of novels. From top to bottom the titles are Bunny by Mona Awad, The Winners by Fredrik Backman, Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren, Nightwatching by Tracy Sierra, The Silence In Between by Josie Ferguson, and The Favourites by Layne Fargo.

What’s Your Special Approach to Content?

I try to create a “happy and positive” theme but I’m not strict on what I post. Some days I’ll put in a bit more effort, it all depends on how much time I have.

A white three-shelved bookcase full of colorful books. The top shelf has mainly blue and red shaded cook covers, the second shelft has arrays of pinks oranges, and yellows, and the bottom has light greens and blues into white.

Aesthetic / Instagram page theme:

Colourful and vibrant! I share book reviews, hauls, and a lot of book stacks to hopefully give people one recommendation.

Colorful book covers arranged to perfectly line up in differing orientations. Visible book titles and authors include Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez, Funny Story by Emily Henry.

How often do you post?

Around 2-3x a week.

What does your Bookstagram mean to you?

This community is like a big book club that I’m grateful to be a part of. Everyone is so welcoming, supportive, and genuinely lovely. If you’re thinking of joining Bookstagram, just do it!
