Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

This 2019 favorite topped the romance charts this year due to its film adaptation that came out in July. Who doesn’t love a little American-British love story? I know that I do! Spend some time this holiday or early 2024 reading this love story so you can immediately divulge in the movie adaptation. I love reading and watching the stories back to back!

The much-loved royal romance genre gets a fun and refreshing update in McQuiston’s debut… The love affair between Alex and Henry is intense and romantic, made all the more so by the inclusion of their poetic emails that manage to be both funny and steamy. A clever, romantic, sexy love story.

Kirkus, Starred Review

Happy Place by Emily Henry

This book was an instant #1 New York Times Bestseller! This one-bed romance is sure to make your knees weak. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but Henry does such an amazing job of having you freak out a bit mid-book only to relieve you by the end. The worlds she creates are so beautiful and perfect beach reads if you are missing the sunny weather and need a pick-me-up.

Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros

This fantasy romance novel is currently flying off the shelves! I just bought my sister a copy for Christmas! This book came out just over a month ago proceeding the popularity of the first book in The Empyrean series, Fourth Wing, another insanely popular book this year. You’ll want to read the series in order, but if you are a fan of dragons and romance, it’s not too late to ask for these books for Christmas!

Dragons and war, passion and power…Fourth Wing is dazzling. Rebecca Yarros has created a world as compelling as it is deadly, and I can’t wait to see where she takes it next.

Pucking Wild by Emily Rath

It wouldn’t be an article written by me if I didn’t sprinkle in a little hockey… Emily Rath’s Jacksonville Rays Hockey Series has taken over the hockey romance community and my heart. She writes books faster than I thought possible, and she delivers every single time. If you want to start a heartfelt and smutty series and need another reason to get into hockey, this series is calling your name.

I cannot for the love of me, explain how much I love this series and this book! I loved getting to know Tess and Ryan’s love story! Seeing them grow and evolve into these great characters! I was amazingly obsessed with the first book, but this one definitely exceeded my expectations! I am so happy read it andemily just keeps writing pure gold so will keep reading and loving everything she writes.
