Everybody wants their Disney happily ever after. But some people want a fairytale ending that isn’t so family-friendly. If you’re someone who loves the magic and romance of a Disney movie but wants some smut to top it all off, we’ve assembled the perfect list for you.
Here’s an important note: while these recommendations are all fairytales that have been made into Disney movies, these books are not officially Disney retellings. This is due to a pesky little thing called copyright infringement, which makes the unauthorized use of any Disney property illegal, but that doesn’t stop creative minds from finding loopholes. The loophole for these books is that the authors more likely than not watched the Disney movies and took inspiration from those rather than their original fairytale.
Whether Disney likes it or not, they inspired a lot of trends that are popular in women’s erotica. Such trends, like the villain gets the girl or the girl gets corrupted or the hero isn’t as heroic as it seems, are the author’s way of testing the simple good and evil categories of fairytales. By adding a little bit of spice (and a lot of dubious mortality), women get to experience a complex relationship with a Disney-certified hunk.
