Welcome back to Bookstr’s Bookstagrammer of the week! In this series, we introduce you to a Bookish creator to add to your feed. This week, we’re featuring up-and-coming romance Bookstagrammer Tay, @books.and.the.beach. Her love for pastels and whimsical imagery is reflected in her fantastically cohesive feed. In this interview, you’ll get to know her bookish opinions and personality. Let’s get started!

Let’s get started!
Why did you start your Bookstagram?
I just wanted a space where I could talk my nonsense about all the books I read. I don’t have a lot of bookish friends IRL.
Where are you from?
Far South Coast, New South Wales, Australia.

Fun Fact about you?
I’m obsessed with tennis – mainly watching.
Favorite Bookstagrammers?
- Bec, @bookishbec_xx
- Laura, @manosfrias.reads
- Holly, @hollys.little.words
- Lynn, @buffalogirllovesbooks
- Kiki, @bookswithkiki
Just to name a few – a mix of booksta babes who I love talking books and life with and booksta babes with huge followings whose content is awesome!

Favorite Books and Authors?
Currently on a Devney Perry and Catherine Cowles binge! I also love Lucy Score, India Holton, and Kate Callaghan.
Fictional Crush?
Rhys Larsen – Twisted Games
TBR List?
Omg, this list is huge! But some authors I really want to prioritise are Laura Pavlov and Abby Jimenez.
Aesthetic / Instagram page theme?
I would say coastal rustic? Is that a thing?

How often do you post?
Lately I’ve been a bit slack, maybe twice a week at the moment, when I’m more motivated I’ll post maybe four to five times a week.
What does your Bookstagram mean to you?
It’s just a fun place for me where I can be 100% myself!

Favorite Bookstore?
I live very regionally to my local bookshop is also the local news agency, but I would love to go to The First Chapter Book Shop in Adelaide.
Favorite book cover?
I love the covers for the Knockout Series, the Chestnut Springs Series, and also the Dangerous Damsels Series – literally anything pastel, and I’m on board!
Book you have claimed to have read that you didn’t?
When did you know you had made it as a Bookstagrammer?
I don’t think I’ve “made it,” but I’m just enjoying the connections I’ve made.

Advice for aspiring Bookstagrammers?
Don’t get bogged down in follower counts and views; you can make so many amazing connections regardless of your follower count.
Additional bookishness?
I also love being able to interact with authors, particularly Indie Authors, and using my tiny little space of the internet to hype them and their books!
Thanks again to Tay for participating in this collaboration! Be sure to connect with her on Instagram @books.and.the.beach and Goodreads. Tune in again next week to meet another amazing book content creator!
