Don’t worry, you aren’t seeing things. Amazon’s new prequel showcases some familiar faces and you’d be shocked to find out where you’ve seen these Rings of Power actors before.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is still dominating headlines as each episode releases. Between the timeline, the costumes, and iconic scenery, there is always something to discuss. I couldn’t help but realize that there are a lot of familiar faces in Amazon’s new adaptation, so obviously I had to do some digging. Here is where you’ve seen these Rings of Power actors before!
1. Morfydd Clark, “Galadriel”

Turning heads with her iconic performance as Galadriel, Morfydd Clark has quite a background. You may recognize her from the 2020 Netflix adaptation of Dracula! The Rings of Power actress portrays Mina Harker in the horror television adaptation of Stoker’s iconic novel.
2. Robert Aramayo, “Elrond”

Playing a young Elrond in the new Amazon series, Robert Aramayo is no stranger to the realms of fantasy. Did you know he also appeared in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones as a young Eddard Stark?
3. Ismael Cruz Córdova, “Arondir”

Did your childhood flash before your eyes when Ismael Córdova popped up on your screen? It should have! The Rings of Power actor gained national attention playing Mando on Sesame Street. You might also recognize Córdova from The Mandalorian as he had a brief role in “Chapter 6: The Prisoner” portraying Qin.
4. Nazanin Boniadi, “Bronwyn”

This Rings of Power actress was one of the first I recognized! As a huge How I Met Your Mother fan, I immediately recognized she played Nora in the popular sitcom who was Barney’s love interest for quite some time!
5. Benjamin Walker, “High King Gil-galad”

While Benjamin Walker’s hair is much shorter in real life, his list of movies isn’t! You may recognize Walker from Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter or from the 2016 romantic drama The Choice based on Nicholas Spark’s 2007 novel.
6. Charles Edward, “Celebrimbor”

Charles Edward is no stranger to period pieces and fantasy. You absolutely have seen him in The Crown, Downtown Abbey, and Henry IX.
