Game of Thrones fans can now retrace the footsteps of their favorite characters at the Game of Thrones Studio Tour!
The attraction is located at one of the show’s many filming locations at Linen Mills Studios in Banbridge, Northern Ireland. Linen Mills is home to the show’s sets for the Great Hall of Winterfell and Castle Black. Both of which have remained in place since production of the show ended in 2018.
“Immerse yourself in the expansive collection of costumes, props, sets and weapons, seeing first-hand the exquisite craftsmanship and skills that turned fiction into reality,” the studio’s official site teases.
Exhibits on display at the Studio Tour include reconstructed sets, costumes, and iconic props, like Jon Snow’s sword, Longclaw, and the Iron Throne. The tour also features a look at how the show was brought to life though visual & special effects, makeup, and prosthetics.
Fans can see actual behind-the-scenes looks at the show’s prosthetic department, costume & set design, and concept art.
Before the studio opened its door to fans, it held a media preview earlier this week. A few Game of Thrones stars were also in attendance, including Ian Beattie (Meryn Trant), Daniel Portman (Podrick Payne), Natalia Tena (Osha), and Ian McElhinney (Barristan Selmy).
“These are the actual sets we walked on,” Ian Beattie told Reuters. “These are the actual costumes we wore, the swords we swung. And unlike the show, where you don’t always see it, you will get to see the incredible detail that went into every aspect of the making of this show.”
