Thank you for joining us! Let’s begin the interview!

Where are you from?

I’m from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Why did you start your Bookstagram?

I loved reading when I was a kid, but as I got older, I found less and less time for it. During the pandemic, I found I had lots of free time, so I decided I wanted to get back into reading! I made my Instagram account with the intention of it being a little book diary that only my family followed, and to my surprise, I ended up stumbling across the bookstagram community!

What do you want your Instagram to bring to the world?

Happiness! Reading is something people do for fun, and I want my bookstagram to reflect that.

What’s a fun fact about you?

Besides reading, my newest hobby is running! I started last year and now have two 1/2 marathons under my belt — I’m addicted, and I never thought I’d say those words!

Do you have any favorite books and authors:

Any books by Taylor Jenkins Reid or Kristin Hannah!

What does your TBR look like right now?

My TBR is endless and always changing! I’m definitely a mood reader, so whatever book gravitates towards me when I’m on the search for my next read is the one I go for!

What’s Your Special Approach to Content?

I want my content to inspire people to read and/or to create their own bookstagram account! Whether it’s book recommendations or bookstagram tips, I’m always trying to post content that will motivate and inspire others!

How often do you post?

I try to post daily!

What does your Bookstagram mean to you?

My bookstagram means so much to me! It’s a community that I never expected to stumble across, which has led to meeting so many incredible people and, of course, discovering so many exciting books!

Who would you have supply you with a lifetime of books?

Reese Witherspoon, so I could get my hands on all of Reese’s Book Club picks forever!!

When did you know you’d made it as a Bookstagrammer?

When people started to tell me that they actually read a book based off a recommendation I had posted!

Do you have any advice for aspiring Bookstagrammers?

My biggest piece of advice is not to overthink it! There can be a lot of pressure on bookstagrammers to be reading all day every day and to be reading every new book release. Read what you want, when you want, and post what you want, when you want! Your content will be authentic and real.
