RomantiConn
Only interested in romance books? Look no further. RomantiConn — hosted by Kitty Berry — is a two-day romance-only event in Connecticut in July. This is where romance lovers come together, talk about their favorite book boyfriends, and meet their favorite authors. There’s an opportunity to attend reader panels that cover topics like “Dark & Dangerous Bullies We Love to Hate and Hate to Love” and “Heroes Come in All Sizes: The ABCs (Alphaholes, Billionaires & Cinnamon Rolls) of Male Characters.” See here for a full list of the signing authors, vendors, and even audiobook narrators.
The convention takes place at the Trumbull Marriott Hotel, only an hour from New York City and two hours from Boston. See hotel information here for a special group rate and research some fun things to do nearby for an extended summer getaway.
Romantasy BookCon
Take your pick for this fun convention — Los Angeles, California in February or Orlando, Florida in October. With over 200 authors and bookish vendors, the Romantasy BookCon has a variety of activities for book lovers to enjoy. In Los Angeles, enjoy a murder mystery interactive performance, a masquerade ball, a cosplay contest, and of course, author signings! In Florida, enjoy different author panels, an axe-throwing event, exclusive editions of your favorite romantasy books, and custom mocktail/cocktails with themed food. If you’re a fan of the A Court of Thorns & Roses series and are looking for an excuse to dress up as an attendee of the Night Court, this is the perfect convention for you. Check out the website here to see details of the two events and snag your tickets.
