Red, White, & Royal Blue

Early 2023

The popular Red, White & Royal Blue novel is becoming a movie! This is one novel that has been on my TBR list for a while now. This magical LGBTQ+ romance follows Alex Claremont-Diaz, the son of the first woman president, and Henry, a British prince. The two men are butting heads and their people are anxious to fix it thus beginning a fake friendship that spirals into much, much more. Taylor Zakhar Perez is set to play Alex, while Nicholas Galitzine will play Prince Henry.

Dune: Part 2 is part of the budding Dune movie series that has gained immense popularity. The second film follows the novel, Dune Messiah and will continue to show us the plot just as the first film did. They may be plot heavy but it’s all to set us up for what’s to come. This film will be about Paul’s rise to power among the Freman thus organizing a revenge rebellion against the Padishah Emperor. Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya carried the last film, and in the sequel, there will be more shining stars joining the franchise including Florence Pugh and Austin Butler.

The long-awaited The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes hits the theaters at the end of next year. The Hunger Games movie franchise ended in 2014, so the announcement of this movie shook the fandom back to life. The movie will follow Coriolanus Snow, who we know as President Snow, during the 10th Hunger Games, 64 years before the first novel takes place. With the hatred I have for Snow, this movie will sure be interesting!

The incredibly popular It Ends With Us movie is hopefully hitting theaters sometime next year! Jane the Virgin’s Justin Baldoni is directing the film under Colleen Hoover’s guidance. The long-awaited love story between Lily Bloom and Ryle as well as Lily and childhood love Atlas will unfold on screen. I am always so excited to see romance novels come to life and compare them to the version I had of them in my head.

Secretly Yours: A Novel is one spicy romance! It follows Julian Vos a grumpy professor and Hallie Welch the gardener on his estate. The best part about this novel is that the two have a history that never played out! In my opinion, those can be the best stories; I love a round two! However, Julian gets an anonymous letter sent by a woman from his past. Who is it? Hallie? Does this uproot the obsession he has for Hallie? This is a must-read! I’m so curious!
