Individualistic and self-reliant, Aquariauses typically have a great sense of emotional control. They are often secure in themselves and optimistically trust their gut as they make logical decisions for their future.

Although they thrive on their own, this month, I want to focus on ways they can begin a healing journey. The truth is, everyone feels stuck once in a while — even the Aquariuses, who can make it seem like they have it all together. With a new year recently beginning, it’s important to reflect on ways to improve our lives for the better, cultivating new methods to success. Considering these points, here are four self-help book suggestions for Aquariuses to help cultivate an even better you!

Atomic Habits by James Clear

This first book suggestion left a genuinely positive impact on my life. Written by an Aquarius, James Clear discusses how every small habit we cultivate has the power to change our lives — for the better or possibly for the worse. Clear discusses how we subconsciously build up tiny atomic habits that determine where we end up in the future. Instead of procrastinating and hoping that the future will just simply take care of its own, Clear encourages his readers to start small in the present by putting our hands on what we can control. If you are looking for a change in your life and don’t know where to start, I urge you to pick up this book. Even if it seems insignificant, it might just end up working in your favor!

The Power of Letting Go: How to Drop Everything That’s Holding You Back by John Purkiss

Aquariuses stereotypically can have a difficult time with letting things go. With 2025 just beginning, there is so much room for improvement and so many ways to move past what is hurting us, causing us to fail or feel an overwhelming sense of fear. Throughout this book, Purkiss teaches his readers the importance of breathing and being in the present moment in order to change our lives for the better. Once you are in a constant state of “present,” rather than being stuck in the past or fearful of the future, your intuition will be your guide. Instead of viewing the concept of letting go as giving up, he reminds us how when we flow with existence, new opportunities will blossom. When you let go of your expectations of people, then you are able to accept every part of yourself and enjoy living.

I had a really nice time reading this book, as it gave me a lot to think about. Overall, this was a refreshing take on growth as it examined how to make lasting changes in our lives when we feel stuck. We all deserve to feel happiness, and maybe this book can help you achieve that goal!

The Daily Laws: 366 Meditations on Power, Seduction, Mastery, Strategy, and Human Nature by Robert Greene

In this fascinating book, Robert Greene writes daily meditations for you to reflect on during the day. Each month, he creates a new mastery for us to follow as well as a daily law for us to reflect on. The daily law is typically something meant to pick at your brain and explore your emotions. It’s a great mental exercise where you can talk to yourself and figure out what you want out of your life.

Although Aquariuses can be very independent and set on who they want to be, it’s sometimes important to step out of ourselves to gain a better perspective on the world around us. Greene’s words challenge his readers as he focuses on new ways to allow them to be seen. It’s always nice to challenge our own beliefs, and giving this book a shot is a great way to start!

Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art by James Nestor

For this last recommendation, we wanted to focus on something a bit more scientific. As Aquariuses are stereotypically interested in tech and science, we thought this book was a great one to bring up! Science journalist and author James Nestor discusses the science behind our bad breathing techniques due to evolutionary changes to human physiology and the effects of rapid industrialization. Nestor suggests that the “missing pillar” of our health lies in breathing correctly. So far, I have learned a lot about bettering my health with Nestor’s advice, and I hope you can take the time to also check it out!

As we celebrate you this Aquarius season, we are excited to see where these books take you in life. It’s never too late to start over again and build new habits, work toward new goals, or even change the way we see the world. We believe in you, but it’s time to start believing in yourself.

Happy reading!
