Take a Look at This Teeny-Tiny Harry Potter Manuscript That's Being Sold
You know those commercials where an annoyingly upbeat person goes on and on about how the car insurance they bought or photos they ordered online from some company you've never heard of were priceless? Commercials like those constantly try to convince us that there are things out there that are so important and worth it that money is not an issue. But, let's be honest, that's inaccurate. What happens when something that is of real value to you happens to be really valuable in the marketplace?
If you're a Harry Potter fan, then you may be interested in a specially special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone that is currently on sale. Featuring thirty-one miniature pages, illustrations, and excerpts of the full-size novel, this 1.6 x 2.4 inch book is a true one-of-a-kind keepsake.

The illustrations are hand-drawn images of everything Potter, including the typical witch/warlock get-up of a broomstick, wand, cauldron, and a witch's hat. It also includes a list of books Harry required for his spells, knowledge that would give a true fan some top secret insight.

The manuscript also happens to be vintage...esque. Writen and illustrated in 2004, it was sold at a charity auction that year for £10,000 (about $13,444). Given the fact that the series has increased in popularity since then, (and this year happens to be the 20th anniversary of the book's release) it is now being sold at a much higher rate.
This first-rate edition can be yours for the low price of....£120,000. (about $161,000).
Personally, that seems a little, um, high of price. But that may just be me. Though the illustrations may not rival those of Jim Kay, who illustrated the recently released editions of the series, having a rare and vintage edition hand-illustrated by the author is sure to peak some fans' interest.
The book is being sold by auctioneer Bloomsbury of London. Though the price is estimated to be sold between £80000–120000, it could go for a much higher price depending on the demand.
The auction will take place December 14th.
