George R.R. Martin’s Novella Could Get the Television Treatment

Television has been pretty good to George R.R. Martin, but things could be getting even better. The author has confirmed that Cinemax has optioned the rights to his novella The Skin Trade, which first appeared in a 1989 collection called Dark Visions.  Thanks to the success of Game of Thrones, an HBO adaptation of Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, his old work holds plenty of appeal for TV producers. Apparently, that appeal extends even to the short, offbeat horror novella that he wrote 1980s.
