Rumors Swirl About A “Game of Thrones” Season Finale Redo

Let me emphasize right now: this is a rumor. Do I hope it is more than that? Absolutely.

New York Post writer Hannah Frishberg released an article this last week drawing attention to the ambiguous tweet posted by HBO’s official twitter page. The tweet simply said: “Winter is coming”–which is the Stark family motto in the series, and it now echoes as one of the most famous lines attached to a fantasy series.

This tweet has been met with mixed responses. Some fans are demanding an apology for the original episode that was aired, while others are arguing that the damage has been done and there is no point in trying to make any changes now. However, there are plenty of fans who are also hopeful that this could be the second chance that the show needs to get the finale right. There were plenty of fans, after all, who signed the petition for HBO to rewrite and refilm the ending, so to some, this tweet may be the answer that they have been looking for.

However, with all this being said, fans should also note that there are at least two Game of Thrones prequels in the works right now–one that is based off of George R.R. Martin’s historical chronicle of the Targaryen family, Fire & Blood, and the series of novellas that Martin wrote following Aegon Targaryen and the hedge knight Duncan, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

So fans will have to bide their time for the moment until HBO clarifies what they meant with this tweet.

‘Peter Pan and Wendy’ Disney Remake Begins Principal Photography

Drew Baumgarter, writer for Collider, recently published an article discussing how Disney’s Peter Pan and Wendy live action remake was now in production, with principal photography starting in Vancouver. J.M. Barrie’s novel will soon be hitting the silver screen again, with Alexander Molony playing Peter and Ever Anderson playing Wendy. Captain Hook will be played by none other than Jude Law.

This film will be directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, who is known for directing Resident Evil: Retribution, Mortal Kombat, and Event Horizon

Peter Pan and Wendy follows the story of three children who fly to Neverland with their friend Peter Pan. There, they encounter mermaids, they befriend the Lost Boys, and they fight against the pirate, Captain Hook–a man intent on revenge after Peter cut off his hand and fed it to a crocodile. This story has inspired several films and books. It should be exciting to see what this addition to the Peter Pan canon brings!

Over 650,000 Sign Petition to Remake ‘GoT’ Season 8

Season 8 of Game of Thrones was always going to be controversial, but who would have suspected that fans would be so outraged that they would petition demanding a remake of the entire season?

After a year of waiting, the highly anticipated final season of Game of Thrones has not been well received. Critics are Season 8 some of the series’ lowest scores, and the shared disappointment doesn’t end there.

The show is seen to have gone so downhill that even the actors and the author of the books have criticised writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

Last week, avid Game of Thrones fan Dylan D. created a Change.org petition, directed at HBO demanding a remake of the final season “with competent writers.”

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on.

This series deserves a final season that makes sense.

Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!

With nearly 700,000 signatures already, let’s hope that HBO will listen to what everyone is saying, and remake a better ending for this fantastic show.If you are a huge fan of Game Of Thrones and would like to add your name to the petition, please click here!

(This article was recently updated to keep up with the number of signatures this petition has gained. From nearly 400,000 to 700,000 in one day?! Seems like a remake could most definitely be in the works.)
