Larry Kramer, American author, playwright, film producer, and activist born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, has died aged 84. He wrote the screenplay for the 1969 film Women in Love and earned an Academy Award nomination for his work. Later with his novel Faggots, he introduced a very confrontational and controversial style.
