Comic-Con is upon us, and with it comes a host of news from some of our favorite franchises, including a particular horror sequel with a very creepy clown.
The latest trailer for IT: Chapter 2 has been released. Based on the second half on Stephen King’s novel, it follows the grown-up versions of The Losers Club as they return to their hometown of Derry, Maine to confront the demonic being known as “IT” and stop him from terrorizing more children.
Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy and Bill Hader are among the cast of grown-up Losers, with Bill Skarsgard reprising his role as Pennywise, the evil clown that eats children every twenty-seven years.
Covering the second half of the book, the film follows the Losers Club from the first film as adults as they return to their hometown of Derry to confront the demonic being known as IT once and for all.
The trailer gives us our first look at Jessica Chastain’s portrayal of Beverly, the only female Losers Club member played by Sophia Lillis in the first film, as she visits an old woman occupying her childhood home. As the trailer goes on, it becomes clear that this woman is not who she appears to be.
There are also pools of blood, floating red balloons, and the return of Pennywise the Dancing Clown. All of which should make for a terrifying time at the movies.
