Behind-the-Scenes Stills from “Fantastic Beasts” Set

Entertainment Weekly has released behind-the-scenes images from the film set of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and they are stunningly exciting! J.K. Rowling’s story is a prequel to Harry Potter, set in 1926 New York, based on the namesake ‘textbook’ Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them ‘written’ by Newt ScamanderScamander’s textbook is an introduction to all the crazy, magical creatures that live in the non-muggle world and has been read by some of our favorite Hogwarts alumni (Harry, Ron, Hermoine, etc…). Rowling’s adapted screenplay features the famed English magizoologist, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne,) adventuring within the clandestine community of witches and wizards in America seventy years before Harry Potter.

This week’s cover of EW shows Scamander in front of the American version of the Ministry of Magic, The Magical Congress of the United States of America.

Teleport back to the 1920’s and catch Eddie Redmayne with Katherine Waterston (as Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein), roaming the magical streets of historic New York City.

“No-Maj,” short for “no magic,” the American word for Muggle, has also been revealed.

Director David Yates, who directed the last four Harry Potter films, with Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein).

Prepare yourself for the magical world of pre-Depression era wizarding in America!
