Novels Made For Love and Station Eleven are being adapted into television series from Patrick Somerville, the creator of Netflix’s Maniac.
Made For Love is a comedic story about a woman named Hazel who runs out on her marriage to a sociopathic billionaire, but must deal with a monitoring chip in her brain implanted by the husband to follow her every move. Station Eleven is a post-apocalyptic story that follows various characters trying to survive a flu pandemic.
Somerville is both writing and executive producing both shows. Made For Love will be directed by S.J. Clarkson, one of the directors of the upcoming Game Of Thrones prequel. Station Eleven will be directed by Hiro Murai, the director of several episodes of Atlanta and Donald Glover’s “This Is America” music video. Both shows will be produced by Paramount TV.
