New Images Give a Closer Look at ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be here in no time, assuming 2018 gets to November ASAP. The first film showed us what the wizarding world looked like in 1920s Manhattan, but The Crimes of Grindelwald will take us to the City of Lights: Paris. Though a proper trailer should be out soon, Warner Bros. has provided two new images from the film.

Eddie Redmayne returns as Newt Scamander, along with his comrade Tina Goldstein (played by Katherine Waterston). Scamander and Goldstein go to Paris in order to help a young Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) catch the dastardly Grindelwald (Johnny Depp). Having escaped prison, Grindelwald is out in the world recruiting malevolent wizards for his anti-muggle cause, predictive of Voldemort.

Zoe Kravitz, Ezra Miller, and Alison Sudol also star in the Fantastic Beasts sequel. Are you excited for the sequel or are you not really feeling this franchise? Let us know!

Eddie Redmayne Takes on Lili Elbe in The Danish Girl Trailer

After massive critical success in his turn as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, actor Eddie Redmayne is set to lead another adaptation this year. In The Danish Girl, based on the book of the same name by David Ebershoff, Redmayne portrays transgender artist Lili Elbe.

The latest trailer for the film showcases the developing relationship between Elbe and her wife, played by Alicia Vikander (of Ex Machina fame), and the pivotal moment when Elbe decides to transition. The film, directed by Academy Award-winner Tom Hooper (Les Miserables), will debut at the Venice Film Festival this week. On November 27, it will get a limited release in New York and Los Angeles, and release nationwide later in the year.
