5. The Stars We Steal

The Stars We Steal by Alexa Donne takes readers on a journey that is quite literally out of this world. Leonie, “Leo”, is just like any other eighteen-year-old girl, except for the fact that she is a princess that lives in space. Ever since the earth froze, its inhabitants were forced to live in space until it defrosted. Life in space is the only life that Leo has ever known. After losing her mother at a young age, Leo has become the protector of the family and now the provider. This year, Leo will have to participate in the traditional marriage ceremony in hopes of finding a husband to bring her family out of financial ruin. Not only does Leo not want to get married, but things get even messier when her ex-fiancé, Elliot, shows up determined to get back at Leo for breaking his heart. The main problem for Leo is that she is not quite sure her feelings for Elliot are gone, but he is no longer the man she once knew. The Stars We Steal is the perfect book to read because once you start you cannot stop!
