Pulitzer Prize-Winning Playwright Sam Shepard Has Died

Sam Shepard passed away Thursday due to complications of Lou Gehrig’s disease. Known primarily as a trailblazing surrealist playwright, Shepard pushed boundaries of what it means to live in America in plays like “True West” (1980) and “Fool for Love” (1983).
