These five new novels are filled with so much suspense you won’t be able to stop reading until you reach the last page. So, do yourself a favor and get your hands on these books, you won’t regret it.

1. They Wish They Were Us by Jessica Goodman

They Wish They Were Us tells the story of Jill Newman, a student at a prestigious prep school in Gold Coast, Long Island. The school may seem pristine and perfect, but there is more to it and Jill discovered that three years ago during her freshman year, when her best friend Shaila Arnold was murdered by her boyfriend, Graham. Graham confessed and that was supposed to be the end of it. Jill has moved on and is now in her senior year, and in an excusive society. It’s finally going to be Jill’s year, but then she starts to recieve text messages about Graham and how he’s innocent. Now, Jill begins to question if Graham really did kill Shaila, and if he didn’t then, who did? Jill is determined to find out the truth and digging deep into this case could put everything she planned for her senior year in jeopardy.

The Night Swim tells the story of overnight True Crime podcast sensation, Rachel Krall. During the first season of her podcast she set an innocent man free and became a household name. Everyone knows her voice, but not her face, which makes her question how someone was able to leave a note on her car asking for help. A teenage golden boy in Neapolis is being accused of rape, and the victim is the granddaugher of the police cheif. So, in order to make the next season of her podcast amazing, Rachel throws herself into the case, but she soon begins to feel stalked, since more notes begin to show up. Whoever is doing this won’t stop until Rachel finds out what really happened to her sister, twenty-five years ago. Rachel’s sister supoosedly drowned but these notes say otherwise. Now, Rachel is looking into her sister’s case and no one seems to have any answers. Rachel notices a connection between these two cases and it is one that will change the the lives of everyone involved.

3. Sisters by Daisy Johnson

Sisters follows two sisters, July and September. The girls are only ten months apart and they are super close. However, when they are faced with bullying in school, they move into an abandoned family home with their mom. In this new home,  July finds herself wanting some space from September and she doesn’t understand why. There is something lurking in the house that is full of dread, and on the outside the sisters try to test boundaries but that leads to some shocking encounters. That also leads to some secrets from the past coming out and upsetting everything.

4. Three Perfect Liars by Heidi Perks

Three Perfect Liars tells the story of three women who work at a company called Morris and Wood. Laura is just returning to work after being on maternity leave, and she thought when she returned her temporary replacement, Mia, would leave but she is still around. She is also struggling to balance work and motherhood. While Mia is desperate to keep her job and worked hard to be indispensable to people. However, Mia is hiding a secret and if it gets out she might be fired. Then there is Janie, who gave up her life so her husband could run his agency, but she has secrets too and will stop at nothing to keep them.



5. Behind the Red Door by Megan Collins

Behind the Red Door tells the story of Fern Douglas. Fern recognizes a woman, Astrid Sullivan who has recently gone missing, and her husband tells her it’s because Astrid was kidnapped and returned twenty years ago. However, Fern doesn’t know anything about the kidnapping, but she is certain she knows her. When Astrid starts showing up in her nightmares, Fern isn’t sure if it’s really a nightmare or a memory of Astrid begging her for help. So, Fern decides to help find Astrid and starts out by reading her memoir and visiting the people and places mentioned. Now more than ever Fern is desperate to remember her past so that she can save Astrid before it’s too late.
