Today we celebrate my favorite pollinators, BEES! As it is World Bee Day, it seems right to celebrate today with only bee-themed things, and as my favorite thing to do is read, here are some reading accessories to help celebrate the bees.
1. Personalized Bee Book Plate Stamp
I have loaned out so many books from my bookshelf that I still haven’t gotten back. As a way to keep this from ever happening again a personalized book plate stamp might be the best option. There are some really cute ones with bees on them.
2. Bee Bookmark
For when you have to stop reading because the world gets in the way or sleep somehow creeps in between you and your book. There are so many cute bookmarks, it’s difficult to say no sometimes since I already have ten I don’t use. But everyone needs at least one bee-themed bookmark to celebrate the world saving bees.
3. Bee Blanket
Rainy days are my favorite reading days because I can put on my favorite comfy clothes and hide under my blanket with a book. Other than the book, blankets are an essential for rainy days.
4. Bee Mug
Do you like honey in your tea? Why not celebrate the pollinators who helped get that honey? Mugs are so fun because they can be personalized to celebrate anything. There are a lot of cool mugs with bees on them. It doesn’t matter if you drink tea or coffee or hot chocolate or hot cider in your mug, because bees are awesome no matter what you’re drinking.
5. Bee E-Reader Pouch
E-Readers make it so easy to travel with multiple books just in case you finish that one you started ten minutes ago by tomorrow evening. But some of the dangers of putting it into your bag while traveling is the possibility of the screen getting scratched. It’s hard to focus on the book when there is a giant scratch across the screen. A pouch for your e-reader will prevent this horror by keeping it safe so a zipper or keeps don’t scratch the screen. It also keeps physical copies from getting bent or torn if the pouch is the right size.
6. Bee Socks
A pair of cozy bee socks can help you stay warm enough while reading. You can sit in any weird reading position without the fear of you feet getting cold with a nice cozy pair of socks.
7. Bee Journal
Bookworms love journals. Just something I have noticed with a lot of bookworms I know. We love to keep track of what we’re reading and whether we liked the book or not. We love writing our own stories, so a bee journal is important to celebrate world bee day.
8. Bookish Bee Poster
Now it can be difficult to read in a room with too many distractions, so we need to decorate our space in a way that keeps us calm and comfortable in our reading space. Now, a bookish poster can be traumatizing to some bookworms because it is the destruction of a book. But I’ve learned I can be OK with it as long as it’s some boring textbook I will never have the ambition to read. Plus, they’re absolutely beautiful and finish off a reading space very nicely.
9. Bee Bookends
Another way to decorate your reading space or your bookshelves (if you have room). Bookends make the space look clean and organized so you don’t feel the stress of needing to clean or reorganize the books you have because they’re piling up or falling all over the place on your shelves.
World Bee Day is a great excuse to treat yourself with new reading accessories that may just include bees.
