Jimmy Fallon Started a Summer Book Club and Everyone’s Invited
Joining the ranks of Oprah, Reese Witherspoon, and many others, Jimmy Fallon has finally jumped onto the celebrity book club bandwagon. Friday night, Fallon announced his summer reading program, Tonight Show Summer Reads, and asked viewers to vote for their favorite novel from a list.
The concept, like many other bookclubs is simple: “Summer’s officially here and I don’t have a book to read. So I figured it’d be kind of fun to do a summer book club.”
The curated list is quite diverse, offering viewers a little bit of everything from fantasy to contemporary fiction. The novels he included in the shortlist are Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi, The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin, The Good Son by You-Jenog Jeong, IQ by Joe Ide, and Providence by Caroline Kepnes.
Viewers can vote here for what they want to read next, with the winner being announced on Fridays’s show airing at 11:35 pm EST.
