Imagine this: you just read through a really good part (or better yet, you just finished the book!) and so the reward you get for doing so is cramping legs and a stiff neck, as well as a reminder that you don’t live in that other world? Very disheartening, at best.
Hate to disagree, but I don’t think we could ever progress enough to ever outgrow Shakespeare – we are constantly recycling story ideas from his plays again and again. ... [A]s long as stories are still alive, we are never too old or even too cool for Shakespeare. Period.
Feeling down? What’s the matter? Cat got your tongue? Bird got your liver? Don't worry: it's only just for, you know, all of eternity...
